𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕 πŸ–: 𝑴𝒐 𝑫𝒂𝒐 𝒁𝒖 π‘Ίπ’‰π’Š!

I’m not going to lie, I didn´t really know what topic write about. So, I thought: “¡I could write about what I have been obsessing with!” And that is Mo Dao Zu Shi.

Mo Dao Zu Shi, also known as Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, it’s a Chinese web novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. And its genres are action, adventures, mystery and supernatural things.

The main character in this history is Wei Wuxian, a very outgoing guy who doesn’t care about etic rules. Lan Wangji is the co-protagonist; a man of complete righteousness, inexpressive and introverted. Both are important cultivators.  From different clans, with totally opposite personalities, they met in their youth, around the age of 15. They would later become in something like enemies.

In the novel, Wuxian is considered a grandmaster who achieved enormous power but is hated and feared by many people because he followed the forbidden path of cultivation, causing many disasters. All this led to his death.

It is 13 years after the death of the protagonist. He wakes up in another body, from a young man named Mo XuanYu, who sacrificed himself to bring Wei Wuxian back and take revenge for him.

Later, by a series of coincidences, our prota meets Lan Wangji, who recognizes him and decides to take him to his sect. This is how they end up embarking on a hilarious trip, fighting monsters and solving mysteries.

The novel became so popular, that over time it was adopted to different formats: A donghua (Chinese animation), a manhua (Chinese comics), a CD drama and a live-action series was released.

I met Mo Dao Zu Shi at the insistence of my best friend. I watched the donghua first, this one had two seasons and a third one is announced. Then she insisted again, but this time to read the novel. So, motivated by that and my excessive curiosity to know what’s next, I ended up reading it.

At first, I had a hard time relating the terms like “cultivator”, “sect”, “clan”, “guzheng” and the honorifics (with which I still miss a little uvu). But is so entertaining and interesting that you quickly assimilate the concepts.

The history, in my opinion, is very well written because I have become too attached to many characters. And now that I’m almost done with it, I have made everything to read slowly for not finish it. I know it sounds contradictory but happens.
